TV, streaming program for upcoming events – NBC Chicago
There’s no shortage of excitement from the 2022 Winter Olympics this weekend as the medal events heat up and figure skating takes to the rink.
Some of the biggest stars are expected on the ice, the first medals in snowboarding are awarded and women’s hockey will look to continue its winning streak ahead of what could be one of its biggest games.
The American team does not yet have a medalbut there is reason to be optimistic this weekend.
Here’s what to watch in the next 24 hours in Beijing and how you can watch it live.
Curling
Team USA will face the Czech Republic in mixed doubles curling Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. CT.
A second game will take place between the United States and Switzerland at 6:05 a.m. CT.

Figure skating
Team USA comes top of Saturday’s figure skating team competitions after stunning performances from the team’s biggest stars, but can they hold their own?
Saturday’s events will feature two more competitions before the final team competitions culminate in the first figure skating medal in Beijing on Sunday.

Snowboard
There are a number of Medal Events taking place today on Day 2, starting with the Women’s Slopestyle Snowboard Finalwhich will take place at 7:30 p.m. CT.
On Friday night, Team USA snowboarder Jamie Anderson began her defense of the Olympic slopestyle title at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Anderson, who has won each of the two gold medals awarded in the event since making her Sochi Games debut in 2014, placed fifth in the slopestyle qualifier and was one of three Americans to qualify for the final. Team USA members Julia Marino and Hailey Langland also qualified.
Alpine skiing
Next, the men’s downhill in downhill skiing will begin at 9 p.m. CT. The TV broadcast of the event begins at 10 p.m. in the United States. Stream the event live below:
cross-country skiing
In another medal-winning event, the men’s cross-country skiathlon begins at 1:00 a.m. CST. This will air live on USA and Peacock and can be streamed below.
Speed skating
The men’s 5000m speed skating will hold its medal event at 2:30 a.m. CST. Coverage will air live on USA and Peacock and can be streamed below.
Ski jumping
All three Chicago-area Olympic ski jumpers – Casey Larson, Kevin Bickner and Patrick Gasienica – have qualified for the upcoming men’s normal hill ski jumping events. The first round begins at 7:00 a.m. CT.
freestyle skiing
After another qualifying round at 4 a.m., the women’s moguls will head into their final medal race, which begins at 5 a.m. Both events will be broadcast live on USA and Peacock and can be streamed below.
Sled
The men’s singles, rounds 3 and 4 will take place at 5:30 a.m. CT Sunday. (Flux here)
Women’s ice hockey
Team USA is looking to continue a winning streak after victories over Finland and the ROC as the team prepares for a crucial game Monday night against their Canadian rivals.
