Tennis will participate in the ITA competition this weekend

The Saint-Joseph men’s and women’s tennis teams are expected to compete in a pair of Intercollegiate Tennis Association competitions this weekend. Members of the men’s team will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the ITA All-American Championships, which begin on Saturday, October 2. Members of the women’s team are in Annapolis, Md., For the Atlantic Regional ITA competition which kicked off Friday morning. .
Nathan Perrone, Nickolas frisk, and Alp Sentay are part of the pre-qualifying draw for the ITA All-American Championships, organized by the University of Tulsa. Out of a field of 256, 16 players will advance to the qualifying draw of 128 entries, with 16 players then advancing to the main draw, which opens on October 6.
Seven members of the women’s team will try to qualify for the ITA Atlantic Super Regional, which takes place October 22-25 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Amanda Nava, Ranger Weiss, Emily elliot, Ireland Amato, and Sophie amato will compete in singles and doubles, while Fabiana Tort-Umpierre is intended for singles action and Anna kirk will play in the doubles competition.
