OnePlus Watch Now Receives Latest Update Adding New Workout Modes
OnePlus Watch, the company’s first smartwatch, gets a new update that adds new training modes. OnePlus, during the OnePlus Watch unveiling in March, announced that the smartwatch will get 110 training modes, although there are only limited training modes available at launch. With the latest update, the company now claims smartwatch users have access to over 110 training modes in total.
The new firmware update is dubbed B.52 and is now being rolled out over the air for OnePlus Watch users.
“We are now rolling out update B.52 for the OnePlus watch. This update will be incremental. The OTA update will reach a small percentage of users first, and then we will start a wider rollout in the coming days. , “wrote Baihan, software product manager at OnePlus, in a forum post.
Coming to the changelog of the new firmware update for OnePlus Watch users, it adds several training modes. However, the company did not list them all. The latest update also adds a marathon running feature and a new AI Outfit watch face feature.
The company also says that there is a new hidden feature that users may notice when tapping on the screen for certain watch faces.
OnePlus Watch users should keep a few things in mind before downloading the new update. The cost of the watch should be over 40% before upgrading, and users should keep the OnePlus watch and cellphone nearby and keep the bluetooth connection during the upgrade process.
The OnePlus watch retailed in India at Rs 14,999 for the colors Midnight Black and Moonlight Silver. The company has yet to introduce the Cobalt Limited Edition in India. Since the variant has been announced for the Chinese market, we can expect it to be available in India soon.
We have reviewed the OnePlus Watch before and found it amazing for battery life. The software was one of the biggest disappointments for us as it doesn’t support any third-party app support that you can download from any app store. At launch, the OnePlus watch featured many training modes including walking, jogging, running, cycling, swimming, elliptical, rowing, badminton, mountaineering, outdoors, orienteering, yoga, cricket and free training. The smartwatch comes in a unique 46mm watch case and sports a 316L stainless steel construction. The OnePlus watch also has an IP68 rating.
