Max Verstappen is arguably the most talked about Formula 1 driver in the world after his first world championship title in 2021 and his heated rivalry with British racing legend Lewis Hamilton, after winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Dhabi in December controversially.

However, inflation is believed to have pushed its value up to £45.8million.
The 24-year-old signed a deal with Red Bull in 2016, before renewing it in 2020 and then again in March until 2028, which is worth £200million. This is just his base salary, however, and excludes any bonuses or endorsements, while it was revealed he would have earned £45.8million in 2020 alone.
Unlike stars of other sports, Verstappen hasn’t earned as many bonuses, although he still managed to walk away with £12.7million in 2021, while he amassed £43.5million. pounds in total earnings on the track last year – including £12m. was just for winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the end of the year.

Verstappen has a loyal fanbase who call themselves the “orange army” and wear orange t-shirts at all his races, which makes him very attractive to many brands, earning him many sponsors such as Jumbo Supermarkets, Ziggo, Red Bull, G-Star Raw and CarNext.com.
Jumbo Supermarkets are said to have paid €1.5m (£1.25m) a year to stand on Max Verstappen’s clothes, while setting up Jumbo Racing Days which helped raise the levy annually at around €2m (£1.67m). G-Star Raw, again another “weak” sponsor compared to the others, paid Verstappen around €1-2 million, while software company Exact signed Verstappen to a sponsorship deal in 2015, before to extend it in 2018, with an estimated value of around €. 2 million per year.
In the months since winning his first F1 world championship, he’s already negotiated a lucrative sponsorship deal with streaming service Viaplay, which is sure to boost his annual earnings considerably, so that he continues to grow on and off the track and become one of the most popular faces in world sport.
Assets
His father, Jos Verstappen, was also an F1 racer before him and although his net worth is nowhere near his son’s, it still stands at around £1.5m. Jos is hugely influential in his son’s career and helps guide him when it comes to financial dealings outside of F1, and recently set up the family’s travel agency, Verstappen Travel, which transports hordes of Dutch F1 fans around the world to support the young protege.
Verstappen also lives in Monaco and has done so since October 2015 which further highlights his level of wealth especially at such a young age and in a very short career so far one can only imagine how much he will have won over again 10 years later.
Dutch marketing expert Chris Woerts, who has worked with Heineken and Coca-Cola, recently made a bold statement about Verstappen’s potential value, saying: “Max will have made over a billion by the end of his career. .
