Manchester United entertained Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win and progress to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. The Red Devils got off to a strong start but conceded the opening goal in the 41st minute when Renan Lodi scored with a good header for the visitors which meant Man United were 1-0 up at half-time.

Ralf Rangnick’s men did their best to equalize but were lackluster in the final third. The contest ended with Man United suffering a disappointing 1-0 home defeat (2-1 on aggregate) which knocked them out of the Champions League.

Let’s take a look at how each Man United player performed in the clash against Atletico Madrid.

G: David de Gea – 6.5/10

The Spanish keeper made some decent saves at the back but couldn’t do much against Lodi’s well-placed header late in the first half.

DD: Diogo Dalot – 7/10

Dalot was strong in the air and made two good runs with the ball in the opposition half. He wasn’t shy about hitting the goal either.

CB: Raphael Varane – 7/10

He made an important interception at the back and was a real threat in Atletico’s half.

DC: Harry Maguire – 6.5/10

The English talent regained possession a few times and created a key chance going forward.
