The youth of Clitheroe were asked to design posters by Miss Jeanette Pateman, a local resident, to help keep the town clean and tidy.

Maggie Ashcroft’s design was based on the dangers of animals scooping up the litter, so people would think twice before dropping the litter. Also, to encourage people to use trash cans to keep Clitheroe a waste free town for everyone.

Miss Pateman said, “Maggie’s design will now be used as a certificate of achievement presented to young people, residents and schools, who take pride in their area and go the extra mile to clean or mop the areas for everyone’s enjoyment.

Prizes won by Maggie thanks to Hoody Marvelous

Clean up Clitheroe would like to thank all of the young environmental warriors who entered the competition to design a certificate. The goal being that local schools and individuals can be recognized for their hard work and community spirit in cleaning up of our small town.

Maggie received the winning prize for delicious Betty May’s Kitchen cakes and a personalized mug, t-shirt and bag thanks to Hoody Marvelous.
