Limerick Tidy Towns video contest winners revealed
A group from COUNTY won first prize in the Limerick Tidy Towns Video contest.
Patrickswell Tidy Towns was announced as the winner of the #MissionPossible task, with Elton Tidy Towns finalist and Kilteely Tidy Towns finishing in third place.
Limerick City and County Mayor Cllr Daniel Butler challenged Tidy Towns groups to create a video “suitable for use on social media.”
The requirements meant that the video, defined as an invitation to their “place” had to be 90 seconds or less, include young people and a minimum of five categories in the Tidy Towns contest.
Congratulating Patrickswell Tidy Towns, the Mayor said: “Your entry was a charming representation of your place and the effort, care and love you have for it.”
He said the ⬠1,000 top prize would go a long way towards their goals and paid tribute to the 10 other bands from Limerick who participated.
Elton received ⬠700 for his second-place video, while Kilteely’s third place secured them ⬠500 for future projects.
Seven groups were highly congratulated and received ⬠100 each: Adare, Bruff, Castleconnell, Croom, Garrienderk, Murroe and Oola.
âEach of you has made a beautiful and inviting video presentation of your city,â said Mayor Butler.
