Lake County Junior is July 21 – Lake County Record-Bee
COBB – The 28th Annual Lake County Junior Golf Championship takes place July 21 at Adams Springs Golf Course on Cobb Mountain.
The tournament is open to boys and girls aged 10 to 17. There are different flights depending on age. Entries are available at any professional Lake County golf course store or can be acquired by calling John Berry at (707) 245-5047 or emailing [email protected]
The $ 15 tournament entry fee includes golf, lunch, starting prizes and rewards.
There are boys and girls flights for ages 10-11, 12-13, 14-15 and 16-17, including overall champions for boys and girls. The defending champions are Austin Pritchard and Keara Alonso.
The registration deadline is July 17th.
The tournament sponsors are Eddie and Linda Mullins, Deb Wallace, McQueen Construction, the Adams Springs Golf Club, the Adams Springs Women’s Golf Club and John and Julie Berry.
As per NorCal Junior Tournaments, Lake County Junior will not allow caddies. Spectators and fans must stay within 30 feet of all competitors. Advice from spectators is prohibited and will result in a penalty / disqualification.
Competitors can carry their bag or use a pull cart. Motorized trolleys are prohibited.

Tee times are available after 10:00 a.m. on July 19. Departure times are from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The 10-11 age group plays nine holes while all other flights play 18 holes.
In addition to overall champions Pritchard and Alonso a year ago, age flying champions were Cory Holt (16-17), Charles Johnson (14-15 boys), Emma Mertle (14-15 girls), Mickey Mullins (12-13 boys), Madison Mullins (12-13 girls) and Walker Ryan (10-11).
