Kullu girl wins painting competition: The Tribune India

Shanaya Khullar, based in Kullu, won first place in a nationwide painting competition organized by the Phulkari Company to mark Mother’s Day. A class X student at Lawrence School, Sanawar, Shania won first prize in the 13-18 age group whose theme was “Heal My Mother Earth”. The contest was held online, involving children from across the country.
IFC seeks free universal vaccination
The IFC has approached the Supreme Court of India to order the Union government to provide free universal vaccination to all its citizens and to waive the GST which is levied on the importation of oxygen concentrators for personal use. . Mayukh Biswas, secretary general of the IFC, has filed a request to intervene in a suo motu petition by the Supreme Court on the issue of the distribution of essential supplies and services during the pandemic. The SFI pointed out that the Union government imposed a 12 percent GST on the import of oxygen concentrators. The petition also calls for intervention by the Supreme Court to order the Center to establish a universal policy of mass vaccination and provide it free of charge.
Professor Bhardwaj will be a nat’l coach
Professor Vinay Kumar Bhardwaj, Head of Department of Public Health Dentistry, Government Dental College, Shimla, will be the national trainer for staff working in peripheral centers (doctors, nurses, AHSA workers, MPW). He is part of the 38-member team that will provide staged training to interns at state level, district level, and then PHC level across India. This training all over India will aim to reinforce the concept of providing comprehensive health care to the Indian people in âwellness centersâ.
