Kizzar leads Seawright and McCarter in points during Saturday’s I-75 Raceway UCRA at Sweetwater
The United Championship Racing Alliance is heading to I-75 Raceway for the annual “Spring-Loaded” 604 / Crate Late Model on Saturday night for the third round of the 2021 Red Line Synthetic Oil Championship.
Nearly $ 10,000 in posted prizes will be at stake for the 24 starters, led by Kenny Kizzar (No.0) of Soddy Daisy, who already has two top 5s in 2021.
Kizzar is flanked on points by Sam Seawright of Alabama and Mack McCarter of Tennessee, the first two series winners in 2021.
It will be “a whole new ball game” on Saturday at I-75 Raceway as new ownership and management take over the facility and completely reconfigure the 3/8 mile clay oval. It is now presented as a paperclip, with a higher bank.
Local domineering Cory Hedgecock from nearby Loudon has moved on to Super Late Model competition and it is not known if he will compete for his fourth straight “Spring-Loaded” victory.
Former Knoxville track champion Kyle Courtney has already claimed he will be in attendance this weekend.
Jason Cardwell of Knoxville, the recipient of last year’s $ 1,000 bonus from last year, sits 4th in the points standings, while senior RotY Jerry Green, also of K-town, is currently fifth. .
