You can follow the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, taking place June 2-18 in Fort Worth, via live streams, both free and via high definition video and surround audio subscription.
The competition’s four rounds include both solo recitals and, with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, piano concertos. Preliminary rounds and quarter-finals take place at TCU’s new Van Cliburn Concert Hall, semi-finals and finals at Bass Performance Hall. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on June 18.
A pioneer in the early days of webcasting, the Cliburn is once again presenting live on-demand – and free – webcasts on Cliburn.org, cliburn.medici.tv and youtube.com/thecliburn. In addition to contestant performances, the webcasts include behind-the-scenes interviews and productions.
