HDFC Bank’s fourth quarter advances rise 14% to £ 11.320 billion

In a fourth quarter update, private lender HDFC Bank reported that the bank’s advances had aggregated to around ₹11,320 billion as of March 31, 2021, an increase of about 13.9% compared to ₹9.937 billion at March 31, 2020 and growth of around 4.6% on ₹10,823 billion as of December 31, 2020.
According to the regulatory sector classification (Basel 2), national retail loans as of March 31, 2021 increased by approximately 7.5% as at March 31, 2020 and by approximately 5.0% as at December 31, 2020; Domestic wholesale lending as of March 31, 2021 has increased by about 21.0 percent from March 31, 2020 and about 4.5 percent from December 31, 2020, the bank said.
Bank deposits increased from around 16.3% to around ₹13.350 billion at March 31, 2021 compared to ₹$ 11,475 billion year-over-year (YOY) and about 5% QoQ (QoQ) growth.
HDFC Bank’s CASA ratio is approximately 46% as of March 31, 2021, compared to 42.2% as of March 31, 2020 and 43% as of December 31, 2020.
During the quarter ended March 31, 2021, the bank purchased loans totaling ₹75.03 billion through the direct disposal route under the mortgage loan agreement with Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC).
