Prepare your stew
This is the last chance for stew cooks to get their registration forms for the 52sd Annual World Championship Hopkins County Stew Competition sponsored by Alliance Bank, Alliance Bank Financial Services and Galyean Insurance. The competition will take place on Saturday October 23 at Buford Park.
We already have nearly 140 jars of stew registered, but we have room for more, if you receive your registration soon.
Come to the room office or send us an email and we will send you the registration form. We are expecting a great turnout for this year’s event, so make sure and get your seat. The meeting of our cooks will take place on Tuesday, October 12 at 6 p.m.
We will open the north and south sides of the park for cooking, as well as a vendor’s market. We are waiting for a fully opened stew.
Speaking of stew, tickets are now available online, at the House office, and locally. The cost remains the same as in the past, $ 6 for the all-you-can-eat stew and $ 10 for the on-the-go pints.
Additionally, we have Stew + 75482 mugs in the office for $ 20, stew mugs for $ 15, and T-shirts will be available soon.
