CCSDS gears up for 50th Louisiana State Championship

CONWAY, Ark. – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series presented by Lucas Oil is set for a crucial weekend of action this Friday and Saturday at the 50th Annual Louisiana State Championship at Boothill Speedway.
Not only is there over $12,000 in cash for first place, but the tightest point battle in series history takes center stage with just five nights of racing remaining on the 2022 record.
“It’s a huge weekend for our drivers. We currently have five riders with a mathematical chance of winning the championship, and that’s pretty cool,” said CCSDS CEO Chris Sullivan. “Add to the fact that we have two $6,000 races up for grabs this weekend at Boothill Speedway, and we’re all thrilled the weekend is coming here.”
Going into the double weekend, Brian Rickman is the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man with a 66-point lead atop the series standings over Morgan Bagley with BJ Robinson 78 in third, Kyle Beard is 115 points off the lead. in fourth, and current Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year points leader Tyler Stevens is 243 points off first place in fifth.
Friday night’s action includes Frazier Accounting Crate Late ($1,000 to be won), Pro Mods ($600 to be won) and Sportsters ($200 to be won), while Saturday’s action includes 4 LED mods Life Limited ($1,000 to be won). to be won), Granger Equipment Factory Stocks ($1,000 to be won) and Front Wheel Drives ($300 to be won).
