Below are other Olympic sports for which Canada is currently qualified according to the provisional rankings of the respective governing bodies. When the qualifying windows end, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) will receive the final number of athletes they are allowed to compete in each sport. For example, in freestyle skiing, Canada has four places for men and four for women according to provisional rankings.
Alpine skiing
The qualification period is open from July 1, 2020 to January 16, 2022. The results obtained during this period will have an impact on the ranking of athletes on the World Cup start list and the Olympic quota allocation list, which will determine the number of entries for each NOC in the general classification. quota of 153 men and 153 women.

Biathlon
NOCs will win Olympic places via the OWG NOC quota list on January 16, 2022. NOCs that have not been allocated a quota place through this process may be allocated up to two places per gender through the IBU Qualification Points List on the same date.
Bobsleigh
The qualifying window will consist of two seasons of results, from October 15, 2020 to January 16, 2022, before the publication of the IBSF ranking list for each event.
NOCs may qualify one, two or three sleds in each event, depending on the depth of the team and following the table below. NOCs which qualify three sleds in an event have the number three highest-ranked drivers in that event. This same process determines who qualifies two sleds, based on the number of two pilots.
Cross-country skiing
The window for NOCs to gain quota places will run from November 27, 2020 to March 20, 2021. For each gender, NOCs ranked 1-5 in the FIS cross-country ranking will qualify four athletes, NOCs ranked 6- 10 will qualify three athletes, NOCs ranked 11-20 will qualify two athletes and NOCs ranked 21-30 will qualify 1 athlete.
Additional quota places will then be allocated until the overall maximum quota of 148 athletes per gender is reached. Each NOC can qualify up to eight athletes per gender, with a maximum of four starters per event.
Freestyle skiing
The qualification period runs from July 1, 2020 to January 16, 2022, during which jump, mogul, ski cross, halfpipe and slopestyle / big air athletes accumulate ranking points from their results in the World Cup and the World Championship. It is the basis of the Olympic quota allocation list. Starting at the top of the list, one Olympic place will be allocated per athlete until the maximum quota is reached in each event.
For each genre, there will be 22 places for jumps, 30 places for moguls, 32 places for ski cross, 25 places for halfpipe and 30 places for slopestyle / big air allocated via the Olympic quota allocation list.
An NOC can qualify a maximum of 16 men and 16 women, with up to four entries per event, but cannot exceed 30 athletes in total, unless there are three qualified jumpers, which makes the country eligible for the new mixed jump team event.
Sled
The qualifying window will feature two seasons of results, from November 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021, culminating with the publication of the Olympic Qualifying World Cup ranking lists for each event.
In the men’s and women’s singles, 34 places will be allocated, while the doubles will have 17 places allocated. There is a maximum of three athletes per NOC in each of the singles events and two teams per NOC in the doubles.
Nordic combined
The qualification period runs from July 1, 2020 to January 16, 2022, after which the Olympic Quota Allocation List and the Continental Cup Olympic List are published.
There are 50 places to be allocated through these lists, with priority given to the Olympic Quota Allocation List which is based on the results of two World Cup seasons. An NOC can qualify up to five men but enter only four per event.
Skeleton
As in bobsleigh, the qualifying window will include two seasons of results, from October 15, 2020 to January 16, 2022, before the publication of the IBSF Ranking List.
NOCs can qualify one, two or three athletes in each of the men’s and women’s events, a determination based on the depth of the team.
